問。心四義之中。前二義是緣慮妄心。後二義是常住真心。約真心。則本性幽玄窮理空寂。既無數量。不更指陳。只如妄心既涉見聞。又言。生滅。此緣慮心。有其幾種行相。

Question: Among the four meanings of the citta, the first two meanings are the deluded mind of conceptual reflection, and the latter two meanings are the permanently abiding true mind. In terms of the true mind, its original nature is profound and mysterious, its ultimate principle empty and quiescent; since it has no quantity or number, it need not be pointed out further. But regarding the deluded mind, since it involves seeing and hearing, and is also said to arise and cease, how many kinds of active characteristics does this mind of conceptual reflection have?
