問。義學多樂聽讀。禪宗唯精內觀。然教觀二門。闕一不可。若但觀心而不尋教。墮闇證上慢之愚。若但尋教而不觀心。受執指數寶之誚。有不達者。遞相是非。今宗鏡廣搜。祖教意足。請為微細開拆以決深疑。

Question: Those who study the doctrines mostly delight in listening and reading, while the Chán lineage is dedicated solely to internal contemplation.
