63.31

問曰。又復有難。云何得知諸佛如來。依此義故。說有色等。一切諸入。而非實有色等諸入。又以識等能取境界。以是義故。不得說言無色等入。

Question: There is yet another objection: How is it known that the Buddhas, the Tathāgatas, based on this meaning, spoke of all the āyatanas such as form, and yet these āyatanas such as form do not really exist? Furthermore, since consciousness and so forth can apprehend objects, for this reason one cannot say there are no āyatanas such as form.
