問。若言親挾帶境相。及變帶似質之相狀起。成親疎二緣者。即外色法。亦成親疎二緣。且如將鏡照人時。於鏡面上。亦能親挾於人影像。以人影不離於鏡面故。應成親所緣緣。又鏡面望外邊人本質。應成疎所緣緣。

Question: If you say that directly grasping and bearing an objective aspect and transformationally bearing an outward form resembling an archetype constitute the two conditions—immediate and remote—then external material dharmas would also constitute the two conditions, immediate and remote. For instance, when a mirror illuminates a person, on the mirror's surface it can also directly grasp the person's reflection; since the person's reflection is not separate from the mirror's surface, it should constitute an immediate objective condition. Moreover, the mirror's surface vis-à-vis the external archetype of the person should constitute a remote objective condition.
