91.11

答。若約體亦不離。若約事即分。如深密經云。曼殊室利菩薩復白佛言。世尊。如來化身。當言有心。為無心耶。佛告曼殊室利菩薩曰。善男子。非是有心亦非無心。何以故。無自依心故。有依他心故。

Answer: In terms of substance, it is also not separate [from the true mind]; in terms of phenomena, it is distinguished. As the Saṃdhinirmocanasūtra says: "Mañjuśrī Bodhisattva further addressed the Buddha, saying: 'World-Honoured One, regarding the tathāgata's nirmāṇakāya, should it be said to have a mind, or to be without a mind?' The Buddha told Mañjuśrī Bodhisattva: 'Good son, it is neither with mind nor without mind. Why is that? Because it has no mind that relies on itself, but it has a mind that relies on others.'"
