98.16

高僧釋智通云。若夫尋近大乘。修正觀者。察微塵之本際。許一念之初原。便可荊棘播無常之音。梟獍說甚深之法。十方淨土。未必過此矣。

The eminent monk, the Śākya Zhitong, said: "As for those who approach the Great Vehicle and cultivate correct contemplation, scrutinizing the fundamental limit of a fine dust-mote and discerning the primordial origin of a single thought, then the brambles and thorns broadcast the sound of impermanence, and owls and beasts preach the profound Dharma. The pure lands of the ten directions do not necessarily surpass this."
