問曰：「祖師云：『善惡都莫思量，自然得入心體』；《涅槃經》云：『諸行無常，是生滅法。』如何勸修，故違祖教？」

Question: 'The ancestral master said: "Do not think of good or evil at all, and you will naturally enter the substance of the mind." The Mahāparinirvāṇa Sūtra says: "All conditioned phenomena are impermanent; this is the dharma of arising and ceasing." Why do you encourage cultivation, thereby contradicting the teachings of the patriarchs?'
