Therefore, the Prajñāpāramitā Sūtra says: 'The one mind is replete with the myriad practices.' The Avataṃsaka Sūtra says: 'Muktaka Śreṣṭhin told Sudhana: "If I wish to see Amitābha Buddha of Sukhāvatī, I see him at will; and so forth up to all the Buddhas of the ten directions that I see, all proceed from my own mind. Good son! You should know that a bodhisattva cultivating all Buddhadharmas, purifying all Buddha-lands, accumulating wondrous practices, taming sentient beings, and making great vows—all of these proceed entirely from his own mind. Therefore, good son, you should assist your own mind with good dharmas; you should moisten your own mind with the water of the Dharma; you should cleanse and purify your own mind regarding sense-objects; you should consolidate your own mind through vigorous effort; you should make your own mind bright and sharp through wisdom; you should open and develop your own mind through the Buddha's mastery; you should broaden and magnify your own mind through the Buddha's equanimity; you should illumine and inspect your own mind through the Buddha's ten powers."'
