1.58

黃龍南和尚曰。予昔同文悅遊湖南。見衲子擔籠行脚者。悅驚異蹙頞。已而呵曰。自家閨閣中物不肯放下。返累及他人擔夯。無乃太勞乎（林間錄）。

Venerable Huanglong Nan said, ‘Formerly, when I was traveling in Hunan with Wenyue, we saw a patch-robed monk traveling on foot carrying a shoulder-pole basket. Yue was astonished and knitted his brows; soon after, he scolded him, saying, ‘He is unwilling to put down the things in his own inner chambers, and instead burdens others to shoulder and carry them—is that not too laborious!’” (Records from the Groves)
