1.60

黃龍謂荊公曰。凡操心所為之事。常要面前路徑開闊使一切人行得。始是大人用心。若也險隘不通。不獨使他人不能行。兼自家亦無措足之地矣（章江集）。

Huanglong said to Duke Jing: "In whatever deeds one sets one's mind to do, one must always keep the path ahead wide and open, so that all people can walk it; only then is it the mindset of a great man. If it is perilous, narrow, and impassable, not only will it prevent others from walking it, but one will also have no place to put one's own feet." (Zhangjiang ji)
