黃龍謂隱士潘延之曰。聖賢之學非造次可成。須在積累。積累之要惟專與勤。屏絕嗜好行之勿倦。然後擴而充之。可盡天下之妙（龍山廣錄）。

Huanglong said to the hermit Pan Yanzhi: "The learning of sages and worthies is not something that can be accomplished in haste; it must lie in accumulation. The essential key to accumulation lies solely in singleness of purpose and diligence. Cut off cravings and hobbies, and practice it untiringly; thereafter, expand and fulfill it, and you will be able to exhaust the marvels of all under heaven." (Longshan guanglu)
