真淨文和尚久參黃龍。初有不出人前之言。後受洞山請道過西山。訪香城順和尚。順戲之曰。諸葛昔年稱隱者。茅廬堅請出山來。松華若也沾春力。根在深岩也著開。真淨謝而退（順語錄）。

Master Zhenjing Wen studied under Huanglong for a long time. At first, he had said he would never appear before others [as a master]. Later, upon accepting the invitation of Dongshan, he passed through Xishan and visited Master Shun of Xiangcheng. Shun teased him: 'Zhuge in former years was called a hermit, / Yet firmly urged from his thatched cottage, he came forth from the mountain. / If the pine flowers also catch the power of spring, / Even rooted in a deep cliff, they are bound to bloom.' Zhenjing thanked him and withdrew. (Shun yulu)
