真淨謂舒王曰。日用是處力行之。非則固止之。不應以難易移其志。苟以今日之難掉頭弗顧。安知他日不難於今日乎（日涉記）。

Zhenjing said to Prince Shu: "In daily life, when something is right, practice it vigorously; when it is wrong, firmly stop it. You must not alter your will on account of difficulty or ease. If today you turn your head away and pay no heed because of difficulty, how do you know that another day will not be even more difficult than today?" (Rishe ji)
