卿已出家性有昏明。學無多少要在修精。上士坐禪中士誦經。
下士堪能塔寺經營。豈可終日一無所成。
立身無聞可謂徒生。今故誨汝宜自端情。

You have already left home; people's natures are dim or bright. / Learning matters not whether it is much or little; the essential thing is to cultivate diligence. / The superior person practices seated meditation; the middling person recites the scriptures; / The lower person is capable of managing the stupas and monasteries. / How can one pass the entire day without accomplishing a single thing? / To establish oneself without any renown may be called living in vain. / Now, therefore, I instruct you: you should rectify your own mind.
