任是豐年猶損福。假饒凶歲亦傷財。殷勤為報諸禪者。
緊把繩頭更不開。

Even in bumper years, it still diminishes one's merit;
Even more in lean years, it damages resources.
Earnestly I announce to all you practitioners of Chan:
Tightly hold the ends of the cord and never loosen them.
