8.81

百衲袈裟五綴盂。二時寧復計精粗。沙門畢竟宜清苦。
軟暖修行道業疎。

A hundred-patch kāṣāya and a five-stitched bowl:
At the two meals, how could one again calculate fine or coarse?
A śramaṇa after all is suited to pure hardship;
In soft and warm practice, the karmic task of the Way grows slack.
