佛言。自見宿命。從無量劫。往返生死。其骨過須彌山。其髓塗地。可遍大千世界。其血多於古今天下普雨。但欲免斯生死之患。晝夜精進。求於無為。

"The Buddha said: 'I myself see past lives: throughout immeasurable kalpas traveling back and forth in birth and death, my bones surpassed Mount Sumeru, my marrow smeared on the earth could cover the great trichiliocosm, and my blood exceeded all the rain falling under heaven from antiquity to the present. Merely desiring to avoid these calamities of birth and death, day and night I was vigorous, seeking the unconditioned.'"
