The above twenty fascicles were translated during Emperor Wu's reign by the śramaṇa Dharmaruci (which in the language of Zhou means 'Aspiring to the Dharma') from the country of Mālava for the Grand Preceptor, Yuwen Hu, Duke Dang of Jin.
