The above one hundred twenty-five works, making one hundred forty-eight fascicles in all, are lost translations compiled by the Vinaya Master Sengyou in the *Chu sanzang jiji* from both the ancient and old catalogues, as well as Dao'an's lost sources and newly collected texts. The treatises, sūtras, and fascicles are extremely extensive; when collating diverse catalogues, corrupted entries are numerous, and inclusions and omissions intermingle so that it is truly difficult to make definitive determinations. Without having seen the texts themselves and merely inspecting the titles, some have entries and lineages, while others have no entries or translators. Examining their origins, they were certainly not without cause; but having spanned many years, they are appended here at the end. It is hoped that later persons of wide learning, if they should chance upon the original lineages, will restore them to their proper place so that there may be evidence, thereby clarifying the ocean of Dharma and stilling its surging waves.
