The above one work, in two fascicles. On the second day of the third month in the fourth year of Long'an in the reign of Emperor An, the śramaṇa Shi Sengzun and more than twenty other virtuous monks, at the vihāra of the Prefect of the Masters of Writing Wang Fadu in Yangzhou, invited the Tripiṭaka Vinaya master Dharma—in the language of Jin, Fazhan—to translate it. The preface on Vinaya matters is complete. At the beginning of the scroll, it clarifies the boundaries and divisions regarding the mutual involvement of the property of the Buddha, Dharma, and Saṅgha; the distinctions are extremely critical, and one must guard them well.
