祖琇。隆興初。居龍門。撰佛運統紀。放左氏。寓褒貶法。兼述篡弑反叛災異之事。永嘉薛洽。敘釋迦譜云。琇師統紀。多附小機所見。學最上乘者。尚深病之。

Zuxiu resided at Longmen at the beginning of the Longxing era and compiled the Foyun tongji. Imitating Zuo Qiuming, it embedded the method of praise and blame, and also recounted affairs of usurpation, regicide, rebellion, and portents. Xue Qia of Yongjia stated in his preface to the Shijia pu: 'Master Xiu's Tongji mostly aligns with the perspective of the Hinayāna; those studying the Utmost Vehicle still find serious fault with it.'
