僧柔。學方等諸經。齊文宣詔至鄴下。柔唯以淨業為懷。亡之日見化佛千數。室內外聞異香。西望敬禮即時遷神。

Sengrou studied various Vaipulya sūtras. Emperor Wenxuan of Northern Qi summoned him to Ye. Rou cherished only pure karma in his heart. On the day of his death, he saw transformed Buddhas numbering in the thousands, and an extraordinary fragrance was smelled inside and outside his chamber. He gazed toward the west, bowed in reverence, and immediately passed away.
