錢唐龔氏。晝夜念佛誦彌陀經。偶得疾。請亨律師指示西歸。講說未終端坐而化。老妾干氏亦念佛不輟。一夕夢龔氏告曰。我已得生矣。汝後七日亦當往生。至期果逝。

Lady Gong of Qiantang recited the Buddha's name and chanted the Amitābha Sūtra day and night. Falling mildly ill, she invited Vinaya Master Heng to give guidance on returning to the West. Before the sermon was finished, she sat upright and passed away. Her elderly concubine, Lady Gan, also recited the Buddha's name without ceasing. One night she dreamt that Lady Gong told her, 'I have already attained rebirth; you too shall be reborn seven days from now.' When the appointed time came, she indeed passed away.
