The woman Jingxin of Siming, whose surname is unknown, pricked her own blood to paint images of the Three Sages—the Buddha and Bodhisattvas—upon one thousand boards of patterned wood, which she distributed widely to people. On them, the faithful woman Jingxin wrote: 'May the pure karma I have cultivated swiftly reach completion; may I not enter a mother's womb, but be born by transformation in the lotus pond.' Afterwards, where she ended her life was not known.
