張元祥。長安人。常念佛不輟。一日催家人云。西方聖人待我齋畢同往淨土。及事訖。果索香火。加趺面西而化。

Zhang Yuanxiang was a native of Chang'an who constantly recited the Buddha's name without stopping. One day he urged his family, saying, 'The holy beings of the West are waiting for me to finish my midday meal so we may go to the Pure Land together.' When he finished, he indeed asked for incense and fire, sat cross-legged facing west, and was transformed.
