四明黃氏。早喪夫歸父舍修淨業。臨終稱佛結印履地徐行。儼然立化。家人篩灰於地以驗生處。見蓮花一朵生於灰中。

Lady Huang of Siming lost her husband early and returned to her father's home to cultivate Pure Land practice. At the end of her life, she called upon the Buddha's name, formed a mudrā, walked slowly on the ground, and solemnly passed away while standing. Her family sifted ash on the ground to test the place of her rebirth, and saw a single lotus blossom emerge within the ash.
