28.93

汾陽約山翁婆。每日嗟歎。世間無常無一可樂。月晦必請僧二員永夜念佛。翌旦設齋婆手自營辦。臨終之夕。咸見佛光入室。寶蓋覆於庭上。婆忽遷化。

The elderly wife of Old Man Yueshan of Fenyang sighed daily: 'The world is impermanent; there is nothing pleasurable.' On the last day of each month, she would inevitably invite two monks to recite the Buddha's name through the long night. The following morning she would provide a vegetarian feast, which she prepared with her own hands. On the evening of her death, all saw Buddha-light enter the room and a jeweled canopy hovering over the courtyard. The old woman suddenly passed away.
