浴佛　四月八日是佛生日。人民念佛浴佛形像（摩訶剎頭經）浴像時誦偈云。我今灌沐諸如來。淨智莊嚴功德聚。五濁眾生令離垢。願證如來淨法身（浴佛經）。

Bathing the Buddha: The eighth day of the fourth month is the Buddha's birthday. People commemorate the Buddha and bathe the image of the Buddha (from the *Mahācātusparṣad-sūtra*). When bathing the image, one recites the verse: 'I now bathe all the Tathāgatas, / An assemblage of merit adorned with pure wisdom; / May living beings of the five defilements be freed from defilement, / And vow to realize the Tathāgata's pure Dharma-body' (from the *Bathing the Buddha Sūtra*).
