穆王時。西極之國有化人來入水火。反山川千變萬化不可窮極。穆王敬之若神事之若君。臨終南之上築中天之臺。其高千仞（列子）。

In the time of King Mu, a wizard arrived from the westernmost realm who could enter water and fire, overturn mountains and rivers, with thousands of transformations and changes that were inexhaustible. King Mu revered him like a spirit and served him like a sovereign. Overlooking Mount Zhongnan, he built the Terrace of the Middle Heaven, a thousand fathoms in height (Liezi).
