35.11

鴻嘉二年。光祿大夫劉向。校書天祿閣。往往見有佛經。向著列仙傳云。吾搜檢藏書。緬尋太史撰列仙圖。自黃帝已下迄至於今得仙道者七百餘人。檢定虛實得一百四十六人。其七十四人已見佛經矣。

In the second year of Hongjia, Grand Master for Splendid Happiness Liu Xiang collated books in the Tianlu Pavilion and frequently saw Buddhist scriptures. Xiang wrote in his Biographies of Immortals: 'I searched through the collection of books and investigated the Grand Astrologer's composition of the Illustrations of Immortals. From the Yellow Emperor down to the present, more than seven hundred people attained the way of immortality. Verifying the true and false, I obtained one hundred forty-six persons. Seventy-four of them have already appeared in the Buddhist scriptures.'
