二年。勅長干寺造三級塔。畢功之日光照欄宇○帝嘗幸瓦官寺。聽竺法汰講放光般若。每讀佛經。以為陶鍊神明則聖人可至。

In the second year, an imperial order was issued to Changgan Monastery to construct a three-tiered pagoda. On the day the work was completed, a radiant light shone upon the railings and eaves. The emperor once went to Waguan Monastery to hear Zhu Fatai lecture on the Pañcaviṃśatisāhasrikā Prajñāpāramitā Sūtra (Fangguang bore). Whenever he read Buddhist sūtras, he considered that by refining the spirit one could attain sageliness.
