九年。迦維衛國沙門佛馱跋陀羅（此云覺賢）至廬山入社。遠法師請譯禪數諸經。自是江東始耽禪悅。

In the ninth year, the śramaṇa Buddhabhadra (translated here as Juexian, 'Enlightened Worthy') from the Kingdom of Kapilavastu reached Mount Lu and entered the society. Master Huiyuan requested him to translate various scriptures on dhyāna and numerical categories. From this point onward, the region east of the Yangtze first indulged in the joy of dhyāna.
