七年。帝以內藏梵經千夾。命三藏那連耶舍於天平寺翻譯勅大統法上沙門都法順監譯。帝躬禮梵文。謂群臣曰。此三寶之鴻基。禮宜偏敬(偏猶專也)○沙門尊稱居士萬天懿。優婆塞智希。並於鄴城譯經。
In the seventh year, the Emperor, using one thousand bundles of Sanskrit scriptures from the imperial palace treasury, ordered the Tripiṭaka Master Narendrayaśas to translate them at Tianping Temple. An imperial edict commanded Da Tong Fashang and the Director of the Saṅgha Fashun to supervise the translations. The Emperor personally bowed in reverence to the Sanskrit texts and said to the multitude of ministers: "These are the magnificent foundation of the Three Jewels. Propriety requires that we pay them special reverence" (pian [偏] means exclusive). Also, the monk Zuncheng, the householder Wan Tianyi, and the upāsaka Zhixi all translated sūtras in the city of Yecheng.
