三載。千福寺建多寶塔成。感五色雲籠塔上。萬眾瞻禮。楚金復集大德於塔下行法華三昧。感獲舍利三千七十粒○勅諸郡開元寺鑄皇帝等身金銅佛像○召司空山本淨禪師。至闕。問禪宗要旨。勅住白蓮寺○南岳懷讓禪師示寂。諡大慧禪師最勝輪之塔。師得法於六祖。

In the third year, the construction of the Prabhutaratna Stūpa at Qianfu Monastery was completed. It moved five-colored clouds to envelop the stūpa, and myriads of people looked up in reverence. Chujin again gathered monks of great virtue beneath the stūpa to practice the Lotus Samādhi, which moved the appearance of three thousand and seventy relics. / An edict ordered that Kaiyuan monasteries in all commanderies cast life-sized gilded bronze Buddha images of the Emperor. / Dhyāna Master Benjing of Mount Sikong was summoned to the imperial palace to be questioned on the essential teachings of the Chan school; an edict ordered him to dwell at Bailian Monastery. / Dhyāna Master Huairang of Nanyue manifested his decease. He was posthumously named Dhyāna Master Dahui, and his stūpa named Zuisheng Lun. The Master received the Dharma from the Sixth Patriarch.
