In the first year of the Kaiyun reign period, an imperial decree ordered the copying of the Tripiṭaka on behalf of Emperor Gaozu, to be enshrined at Mingsheng Temple to assist in his vast blessings. ○ In the sixth month, King Qian Hongzuo of Wuyue dispatched the monk Huigui to Shuanglin to open the stupa of Mahāsattva Shan Hui. They obtained sixteen pieces of miraculous bones and countless purple-gold relics. Purple fungi sprouted on the brick couch, and a pair of tigers crouched below the crypt. Auspicious clouds veiled the mountains, and sweet rain showered the earth. Thereupon, the relics and miraculous bones, together with the water jar, incense burner, door mallet, and other items, were reverently escorted to the Anguangce Hall in Qiantang for veneration. Longhua Temple was built, and a statue of the Mahāsattva was sculpted using his bones.
