四年正月。上以齋月斷屠出自釋教嫌之。勅今後唯禁歲旦三元日國忌日。

In the first month of the fourth year, the Emperor, disliking that the prohibition of slaughter during vegetarian months originated from the Buddhist teachings, decreed that henceforth slaughter would only be prohibited on New Year's Day, the Three Origins Days, and days of national mourning.
