The sixth year [1028]. The Emperor composed the *Hymn to the Three Jewels* to bestow upon the chief ministers and the Translation Bureau. ○ Dharma Master Fazhi of Nanhu in Siming instituted the Guāngmíng Repentance on New Year's Day, scheduled for five days. Sitting cross-legged, he expounded the Dharma, suddenly invoked Amitābha Buddha several hundred times, and passed away quietly. His open casket was displayed for seven days; his facial features were as if alive, and his nails and hair grew. On the day of cremation, an extraordinary fragrance was pervasive, the relics were countless, and the root of his tongue did not decay, resembling a lotus flower.
