46.34

述曰。持師本傳。謂在𮠁縣龍淵順寂。有臨終遺命。今乃云遊峨眉至此。意者聖師神化。不可以生死之迹為之拘也。

The author remarks: Master Chi's original biography states that he passed away peacefully at Longyuan in Pi County and left deathbed instructions. Now it is said that he wandered to Mount Emei and reached this place. Presumably, the spiritual transformations of a holy master cannot be constrained by the traces of birth and death.
