48.30

景定四年詔祖印法師住上天竺。補右街鑒義。退歸旌德教寺。復詔妙銛法師住上天竺。補左右街僧錄。五年詔古源清法師入內道場懺禱有驗。賜祥應大師之號。復講法華於福寧殿賜紫衣。

In the fourth year of the Jingding reign period, an imperial decree appointed Master Zuyin to reside at Upper Tianzhu and appointed him Inspector of Rectitude for the Right Street; he retired and returned to Jingde Teaching Temple. Another decree appointed Master Miaoxian to reside at Upper Tianzhu, appointing him Clerical Registrar of the Left and Right Streets. In the fifth year, an imperial decree summoned Master Guyuan Qing into the inner bodhimaṇḍa, where his repentance and prayers proved efficacious; he was bestowed the title Great Master Xiangying. He again lectured on the Lotus Sūtra at the Funing Hall and was bestowed a purple robe.
