大德元年建臨洮寺。世祖甞以五臺絕境欲為佛寺而未果。帝繼志建寺。賜名萬壽佑國寺。命真覺國師文才主之。

In the first year of Dade, Lintao Temple was built. Shizu had once wished to build a Buddhist temple at the supreme site of Mount Wutai, but had not accomplished it; the Emperor continued his intention and built the temple, granting it the name Wanshou Youguo Temple and ordering the State Preceptor of True Enlightenment, Wencai, to preside over it.
