遼太祖。姓耶律。諱阿保機。國號契丹。都上京。太宗遷都。晉開運二年遼主耶律德元入晉。不一年世宗立。諱阮番。名兀欲。改元天祿。治五年。為燕王遷軌等弑于新州火神淀。穆宗璟即位。名兀律。改元應曆。治十八年。為庖人弑于黑山下。聖宗立名隆緒。改元統和。又改開泰。復號大契丹。洪基道宗立。興宗子也。改元清寧。治四十六年。天祚延禧立。道宗之孫。改元大慶。又改保大。宋童貫與遼叛人馬植謀約女真功。遼天祚逃于夾山。擒之封海濱王。送長白山。築城居之。遂亡。遼自阿保機以梁貞明二年丙子建元神𠕋。至延禧保大乙巳共九主二百一十年。

Liao Taizu's surname was Yelü, and his personal name was Abaoji. His state's title was Khitan, and he established his capital at Shangjing. Taizong moved the capital. In the second year of the Kaiyun era of Jin, the Liao ruler Yelü Deguang entered Jin. In less than a year Shizong was enthroned; his personal name was Ruan, and his Khitan name was Wuyu. He changed the reign era to Tianlu, and ruled for five years. He was assassinated at Huoshendian in Xinzhou by the Prince of Yan, Xiao Qian’gui, and others. Muzong, Jing, came to the throne; his Khitan name was Wulü. He changed the reign era to Yingli, and ruled for eighteen years. He was assassinated beneath the Black Mountain by his cook. Shengzong was enthroned; his personal name was Longxu. He changed the reign era to Tonghe, and later changed it to Kaitai, restoring the dynastic title to Great Khitan. Hongji, Daozong, was enthroned; he was the son of Xingzong. He changed the reign era to Qingning, and ruled for forty-six years. Tianzuo, Yanxi, was enthroned; he was the grandson of Daozong. He changed the reign era to Daqing, and later changed it to Baoda. The Song courtier Tong Guan conspired with the Liao turncoat Ma Zhi to make a pact with the Jurchens to attack [Liao]. Liao's Tianzuo fled to Jiashan; he was captured, enfeoffed as the Prince of the Seashore, and sent to Changbaishan, where a walled settlement was built for his dwelling. [Liao] thereupon perished. From Abaoji's establishment of the Shence era in the bingzi year (the second year of the Zhenming era of Liang) down to Yanxi's Baoda era in the yisi year, Liao lasted altogether through nine rulers and two hundred and ten years.
