梁武帝。從約法師受具足戒。太子公卿道俗。從師受戒者四萬八千人（此應受菩薩戒）沙門耆艾亦重受戒法（此受具足戒）。

Emperor Wu of the Liang received the full precepts from Dharma Master Yue; the crown prince, nobles, officials, monastics, and laypeople who received the precepts from the master numbered forty-eight thousand people (this must refer to receiving the bodhisattva precepts); elderly and venerable monks also re-received the preceptual Dharma (this was receiving the full precepts).
