9.13

Dhyāna Master Huiyong received the ritual practice of the Lotus Samādhi from Nanyue. Having practiced it for a long time, he achieved realization and entry. He then concealed his traces at Yunfeng, having no contact with the world. For over sixty years, he devoted his mind entirely to dhyāna concentration. In the moments when he emerged from concentration, his mind had no other concerns; he only chanted the Lotus [Sūtra]. Later, he also realized the fire-light samādhi. It is unknown where he ended his days.
