Dhyāna Master Bore (Prajñā) was a native of Gaoli (Koguryŏ). In the sixteenth year of Kaihuang, he came to visit Folong to seek the meditation teaching; before long, he attained realization. The Master of Wisdom said to him: 'You have affinities here; you should abide in leisure in a quiet place and practice the wondrous discipline. Huading Peak is six or seven li from here; it is where I formerly practiced dhūta austerities. If you dwell there and advance in the Way, there will certainly be profound benefit.' The master then complied with the luminous instruction; he sat in quiet meditation for sixteen years without ever descending the mountain. Suddenly one day, he went up to the upper monastery of Folong, attended by three companions, who in a moment were gone. Next, he arrived at the lower monastery of Guoqing to bid farewell to his companions in the Way. After staying for several days, he transformed and passed away without illness. When the casket was carried out of the monastery gate, he opened his eyes to show his farewell; upon reaching the mountain, he closed his eyes as before.
