13.32

（二十四）　是歲。三藏不空於師子國從普賢阿闍梨求開十八會金剛灌頂及大悲胎藏建壇之法。其王一日調象。俄而群象逸。莫敢禦之者。不空遽於衢路安坐。及狂象奔至。見不空皆頓止跪伏。少頃而去。由是舉國神敬之。

([Kaiyuan], Year 24) [736 CE]: In this year, Tripiṭaka Master Amoghavajra in the Kingdom of Siṃhala sought from Ācārya Samantabhadra the opening of the eighteen assemblies of the Vajra Consecration and the method of establishing the altar of the Great Compassion Garbhadhātu. One day, the king was taming elephants when suddenly a herd of elephants broke loose, and no one dared to resist them. Amoghavajra immediately sat peacefully on the thoroughfare. When the wild elephants stampeded toward him and saw Amoghavajra, they all abruptly stopped and knelt down, departing after a short while. Because of this, the entire country revered him as divine.
