（廿八）　是年二月功德司奏。每年帝誕節諸州府。奏薦僧尼欲立講經科禪定科持念科文章議論科以試其能不。帝從奏（出繫年錄）。

[28] In the second month of this year, the Bureau of Merit and Virtue memorialized: "Every year on the Emperor's birthday, the various prefectures and commands recommend monks and nuns. We wish to establish a Scripture-Exposition Section, a Chan Meditation Section, a Chanting and Recitation Section, and a Literary and Philosophical Discussion Section, in order to test whether they are capable." The Emperor granted the petition (derived from the Xinian lu).
