（六）　有巢氏。百代不記年。禮曰。昔者先王未有宮室。冬則塋窟。夏則居櫓巢。未有火化。食草木之實鳥獸之肉。飲血茹毛也。

(6) Youchao Shi. A hundred generations without recorded years. The Classic of Rites says: 'In ancient times, the former kings had no palaces or chambers; in winter they dwelt in underground pits and mounds, and in summer they dwelt in raised platforms and nests. Before there was the transformation by fire, they ate the fruits of grasses and trees, and the flesh of birds and beasts; they drank their blood and swallowed their fur.'
