[Guichou] In the twelfth month of this year, the commoner Wang Xiaoli stated, 'This year the winter solstice solar shadow gnomon should converge on the nineteenth day, renwu. The official calendar has it on the twentieth day, guiwei, which is a discrepancy of one day. I request that the copper gnomon dial in the care of the Palace Maintenance Office be delivered to the Astronomical Bureau for verification.' This was approved.
