In the first year of King Wu, he enfeoffed Wu Geng, a concubine-born son of Zhou of Yin, to govern Yin. After he rebelled, he was executed. When the Duke of Zhou returned eastward, King Cheng enfeoffed the Viscount of Wei, a descendant of Emperor Yi of Yin, to continue the line of Yin with the state name Song. Song used the rites and music of Yin, was treated as a guest rather than a subject by Zhou, and had its state capital at Yingtianfu (present-day Peiliang Route, Guidefu; territory of Yuzhou). From the Viscount of Wei down to Duke Li (𮙼), the years cannot be verified. They can only be recorded after Duke Li's son Duke Xi was installed. Beginning in the second year of King Cheng, a dinghai year, and ending in the twenty-ninth year of King Nan, a yihai year, King Yan was unprincipled, and Qi, Wei, and Chu jointly destroyed it. There were thirty-two rulers spanning a total of eight hundred and thirty-nine years.
