五比丘者。憍陳如。頞鞞。跋提。十力迦葉。摩男。俱利。頌曰。頞鞞跋提并俱利。此三屬在父之親。陳如十力母之親。初轉法輪先度此。

The five monks were Kauṇḍinya, Aśvajit, Bhadrika, Daśabala-kāśyapa, and Mahānāma-kulika. The praise says: Aśvajit, Bhadrika, and Kulika, / these three belong to the father's relatives; / Kauṇḍinya and Daśabala to the mother's relatives. / At the first turning of the wheel of the Dharma, he delivered these first.
